Whether you are an avid traveler or a busy guy stuck in the office from 9 to 5, more than 90% of people around the world, are still dreaming and thinking ahead of their next holiday, in terms of location, dates, prices and so on.
Everyone I know dreams of going on holiday at least every month for a couple of weeks or so, but in the real world, that’s not happening a lot to an average Joe, unless you are fully loaded and you can easily afford having a trip like that.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the main criteria of why people are reluctant to travel, is one reason and one reason only; MONEY, followed by the right PRICE at the right TIME for the right planet TICKETS, so once again, we are hitting the same brick wall, when thinking of setting up the travel plan we have been thinking of since ages, regardless the last trip was months ago, it still feel like an eternity.
Now, just try imagining yourself working and living on this perfect island, where you can merge the two, working just few meters away from the sandy shores, where you can always take a quick break to enjoy the sunshine and kicking the sand with your bare feet. That’s something to think about it, note to myself 🙂 Whether you are a sandy beach lover or a snowy mountain one, we all crave for that future trip that can easily fulfill our void, the little traveler inside of you that always wants to come out, more often, but always hitting the same brick wall I have mentioned above; but let’s just not spoil the dream just yet, I am still thinking of my next trip thou.
I tend to agree that we should all do a world tour, or at least an intercontinental trip, to reach out and see other cultures, customs and places before we reach 30s or 40s, ’cause by the time you have a family, kids, mortgage, an expensive car and so on, there’s not so much time for traveling, but family, future prospects, business and projects that always steals ourselves from what we always want, right ?
I well remember when I was 11 or 12, someone said to me, or maybe I heard on a movie or something, that ‘Life is a journey, not a destination’ I was hooked by the sound of it, the meaning and literally the motif behind it, I was very happy to say that to myself ever since, whenever I was trying to rush things up, or save money for some very expensive things that perhaps, I can have it by the time I am 65 or something…
Trying my best not to change this article into a personal journal or something, but I really feel energized by these pictures and what they mean; I really want to see these places before I die, more like a personal bucket-list thou.
Perhaps, you can share your top 10 best places to go to before you die. Right at the bottom of this article, you can post your comment, don’t be shy, I will add my top 10 very soon, perhaps in the next ‘personal diary’ article of the month 🙂
While I am writing this article, in all its honesty and fairness, I strongly believe that we should all travel as much as we can and as often as we can, given the fact that life is a journey, we should all make that special trip to places that we want to see and enjoy.
Nowadays, a lot of people loves living in busy metropolitan cities like New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo etc, to many to mention, rather then a bamboo hut in the middle of nowhere with no internet connection or a major coffee chain like the one you always have every morning 🙂
Think of all those rich people, do you really think they live in the big city ? I reckon they all have a spare pad in the city, but they keep their lives simple, entertained and out of busy, highly populated and polluted cities, like the one that I am living, called London in UK. No offence to any Londoners, but this city is highly polluted and my hope is that the number of electric cars will increase in the next 5 to 10 years or else, we are going to become like Beijing in China, where the smog (smoke and fog) is a killer for sure!
But enough with the drama, let’s focus more on our quest finding out, this month’s topic of ‘To Travel Or Not To Travel’ that’s the question 🙂
So, in my opinion, we should travel as much as we can, hit that average 50k steps a day and cherish what God gave us to enjoy, pure, unique and amazing nature! Let’s hope we are going to be able to see this amazing world before it goes south, as this track by Above & Beyond feat. Justine Suissa portraits a very realistic point of view of what’s happening nowadays.
